Namida Lab Partners with Parkhill The Clinic for Women for BreastCancer Clinical Trials
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (October 1, 2021) – Parkhill The Clinic for Women has partnered with Namida Lab®to be a recruitment site for clinical trials around Melody®, the recently developed tear-based breast cancer screening test. Namida Lab is currently conducting studies to explore the utility of Melody® in the breast health continuum of care. Of specific interest is the application of Melody®for women with dense breast tissue, a particular area of concern in imaging. The study is fully funded by Namida Lab.
Dr.’s Robert Hix and Paige Partridge, OB/GYNs at Parkhill, will be recruiting patients for the study starting in October, coinciding with breast cancer awareness month. Dr. Partridge says, “We are excited to partner with Namida Lab to work toward increasing breast cancer screening options for women. Giving women and doctors another piece of information regarding breast health will help to improve care and allow women the opportunity to be more proactive around breast health”. Melody®is an additional breast cancer screening option for women to facilitate discussion between patients and their provider and is currently not intended to replace mammogram screening.
Parkhill The Clinic for Women, founded in 1965, provides total health care for women with a goal to provide innovative care for all ages. Parkhill doctors strive to be on the cutting edge of obstetrics and gynecology to continually serve the community with excellence.
